Conversations | Are there any particular diverse books you read more and why?

Conversations is a new meme created by Geraldine @ Corralling Books and Joan @ Fiddler Blue.  Basically, they come up with a basic theme to discuss each month, and a topic every other Saturday, and we discuss it!  I thought it sounded super fun, and I'm always looking for more ways to join in in the bookish community.  Today's topic that we are discussing is: are there any particular diverse books you read more and why?

Top Ten Tuesday- Top Ten Books I've Recently Added To My TBR

Hello everyone!!  Today I thought I would do Top Ten Tuesday, a weekly bookish meme created by the lovely The Broke and the Bookish!  Here are (in no particular order) the top ten books that I've recently added to my TBR:

1. Firstlife by Gena Showalter
Tenley “Ten” Lockwood is an average seventeen-year-old girl…who has spent the past thirteen months locked inside the Prynne Asylum. The reason? Not her obsession with numbers, but her refusal to let her parents choose where she’ll live—after she dies.

There is an eternal truth most of the world has come to accept: Firstlife is merely a dress rehearsal, and real life begins after death.

In the Everlife, two realms are in power: Troika and Myriad, longtime enemies and deadly rivals. Both will do anything to recruit Ten, including sending their top Laborers to lure her to their side. Soon, Ten finds herself on the run, caught in a wild tug-of-war between the two realms who will do anything to win the right to her soul. Who can she trust? And what if the realm she’s drawn to isn’t home to the boy she’s falling for? She just has to stay alive long enough to make a decision…

Why I Want to Read it: The synopsis sounds really interesting, and I've heard a lot about this book.  Hopefully it lives up to they hype...
