My Review: I rarely give out 10/10 stars, but this book definitely deserves it. I fell in love from the first chapter, and it only got better from there. The last quarter of this book was so intense, I stayed up all night just to finish it. I literally could not put this book down!

The characters in this book are great. The MC, Vhalla, is brave, selfless, and not afraid to stand up for herself (plus she likes books!!!). It's not often that I come across and MC that I actually really like, but I loved reading from Vhalla's POV. As for Aldrik.... I'm not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical at first. I mean, *SPOILER* he pushed her off a roof! *SPOILER*
But it didn't take him long to win me over. By the end of the book, I was swooning right along with Vhalla.
The love story aspect of this book is incredibly done. It didn't go too fast, and it made me believe in it (which is pretty rare in YA these days). If anything, it went a little too slow! Looking back now, I am so glad that the author chose to do this, because I know it'll make the second book that much better.
The overall plot stayed pretty consistent until the last part of the book, where it really picked up. Those last several chapters were an emotional roller-coaster. There were so many times where I caught myself grinning uncontrollably, and then there were times where I teared up so much I couldn't read the words on the page. If I didn't love this book before, that ending pretty much sold it for me.
Overall, this is definitely one of my top reads of 2015. I can't wait for everyone to read it and fall in love with it just like I did! Also, I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOWWW!!!! Seriously, I don't know how I'm going to survive until I have book 2 in my hand. *sigh*
