Top Ten Tuesday | Top Nine 2017 Debuts I'm Excited For

There are so many books coming out this year that I'm so excited for!  And not just sequels to series that have already been started; there's books with new worlds and new authors to discover.  It was almost hard to narrow them down!  Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week is the top nine (ten didn't fit with my theme) 2017 debuts that I'm excited for; so, without further ado, here are the books I'm most excited for!

  

1. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth

Release Date: January 17th 2017

First of all: Veronica Roth.  Second: SPACE.  Need I say more?

2. Defy the Stars by Claudia Gray

Release Date: April 4th 2017

SPACEEEE.  And the MC falls in love with a robot?!?!  Yes, please.

3. Hunted by Meagan Spooner

Release Date: March 14th 2017

I will literally read any Beauty and the Beast re-telling ever.  Also, it's Meagan Spooner.  Also, the cover looks cool.

My Favorite Books of 2016

This year, I read a total of 62 books!  2016 was a pretty good year of reading for me; out of those 62 books, almost all of them were 4 or 5 stars.  However, out of the books I read this year, some stood out more than others.  So here are (in no particular order) my top 9 favorite books that I read in 2016!

1. An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir

This book had a lot of hype, but I daresay that it lived up to it.  I loved the characters, and the world, and everything else about this book.

2. This Savage Song by Victoria Schwab

This book can be described in one word: badass.  Not what I was expecting at all, but even better.  I definitely would recommend to anyone who is a big fantasy lover.

3. The Alchemists of Loom by Elise Kova

This was an ARC that I read (it comes out in January of 2017).  I love Elise's work, but this book surpassed my highest expectations!  Another great book for my fantasy lovers out there.  See my review.

Top Ten Tuesday | Ten Books I Wouldn't Mind Santa Leaving Under My Tree

It's almost Christmas!!  Christmas has always been my favorite holiday.  I love the festive lights and decorations, and I love spending time with my family.  Not to mention the three week break from school!  Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly bookish meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.  This week's Top Ten is ten books I wouldn't mind Santa leaving under my tree; so here's a few books that I've been wanting for a while.

1. Vampire Academy (Anniversary Edition) by Richelle Mead

This is one of my favorite series of all time, so of course I want the new anniversary edition!  The cover is so beautiful, and it has new bonus material!

2. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

So... I know this doesn't come out for another 5 months, but Santa is magic, right???  (yes i'm in denial that I have to wait that long)
